In Fall/Winter 2018; with financial support from Webster funds, we piloted a community program entitled “Game Clinic Course”. The aim of this course is to facilitate interactions between seniors and younger game students to gain a mutual understating of how smart computers and virtual reality technologies ought to be developed for older adults.

The course ran over ten weeks and was  attended by seven seniors who joined us (The PI and students from Design, Engineering and Communications) to discuss what constitutes the “Serious” in games that aim to benefit older adults. The participants are preparing a co-authored manuscript to share their experiences in the course of ten weeks.

This class will be offered in the Spring/winter of 2019 as well. For more information and to enroll, please see: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/gameclinic_course
